Safety
Built for safer fandom meetups.
ArcMates supports local anime discovery without exposing a member's device location. Hosts may choose a venue or street address for an in-person Event. Listing visibility controls who can open the Event and see its general city or region; the exact venue or street address unlocks only for the host and members with a current Going RSVP.
ArcMates is for adults age 18 and older.
Report and block tools are part of the free product.
A member's device location and raw coordinates are never shown to other users.
An in-person Event shows only its general city or region before RSVP; the exact venue or street address is limited to the host and current Going attendees.
Public meetup guidance is built into Con and Event flows.
Group events are encouraged before 1:1 meetups.
Moderation queues review reports, Cons, Events, and profile safety issues.
Privacy controls let users hide attendance and adjust discovery visibility.

Meetup guidance
- Prefer a staffed public venue for a first meeting with people you do not already know.
- List a home or other private address only with the owner or occupant's permission.
- Use Invite Only or Private visibility when the listing or even its general area should not appear in public member discovery.
- Do not share sensitive personal information too early.
- Use group Cons, convention plans, and public or online Events when you want lower-pressure plans.
- Trust your instincts and use report/block tools when something feels wrong.
